Entrevista com a jornalista Madeleine Lacsko | The Noite (26/05/23)

Journalist Madeleine Lacsko is Danilo Gentili's guest on The Noite. Launching her book "Cancelando o Cancelamento" (Cancelling Cancellation), the first on the subject published in Portuguese, she explains: "I read a lot about it and wrote about it on social media, and a friend asked why I didn't write a book about it, because, in Portuguese, nobody has yet systematized it." And he also states: “what I put in the book is a privatization of activism. You have influencers who steal the discourse of activism, they make this discourse as if it were for activism, and what is the ‘trick’ to know the difference? The impact on real life. Activism, whether you agree with it or not, will want two things: to act politically - it will want to convince you - and it will want changes in real life. If it is ‘burning bridges’, canceling others, insulting everyone, and the change that the person wants will only alter their real life, that they will be hired as an expert in something and gain likes, you are facing a business. Which I don't even think is wrong, but tell me what it is, you can't pretend it's activism.” The Noite is a talk show hosted by Danilo Gentili and airs Monday through Friday in the early morning hours on SBT. Personalities from all fields are interviewed on the program, which also features Murilo Couto, Igor Guimarães, stage assistant Juliana, and announcer Diguinho Coruja. The soundtrack is provided by the band Ultraje a Rigor, and commentary is courtesy of vocalist Roger Moreira. The group is completed by bassist Mingau, guitarist Marcos Kleine, and drummer Bacalhau.
