The Lone Tree stands tall amongst the grasses and forms a feature point that punctuates the expanse of the grasslands. Its branches offer an unobstructed view of the grasslands, making it an ideal perch for raptors such as the Brahminy Kite (Haliastur indus). Fun Facts: The bird hide allows you to view these grassland birds up close and observe their behaviour without alarming them. Contrary to popular belief, the grasses are not Lalang! There are six species of grasses from the Pennisetum family. The Lone Tree is made from recycled iron reinforcement bars salvaged from old park pathways.
