Many of the plants on this wall are epiphytes — plants that grow attached to trees instead of in soil. Inspired by Japanese interiors we’ve seen in magazines like Brutus Casa, we wanted to treat plants not just as decoration, but as living structure integrated into our home. The wall has slowly evolved over time and is now a permanent part of our apartment. In this video, we’re adding one new plant — a Nepenthes — and showing you step by step how we mount it using cork bark and soaked sphagnum moss. You’ll also see how we: • Rinse the roots before mounting • Prepare and layer sphagnum moss • Secure everything with fishing line • Water our mounted plants with RO water • Use diluted aquarium water as a gentle natural fertiliser • Light the wall properly for strong, healthy growth This corner connects water below and forest above — aquariums, orchids, ferns, floating plants in glass orbs, and even a mounted Tillandsia branch (full tutorial already on the channel).
