Acts 19:8–20 | Jesus and the Occult
The city of Ephesus was a place where the occult had significant influence and where 7 sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were attempting to harness the power of Jesus' name to perform exorcisms. In a world where occultic practices have become a norm for many (astrology, tarot cards, crystals, wicca, etc.), we must remember that there is a spiritual realm in which evil forces are active and at work, but that Jesus is more powerful.
