DiRT Rally 2.0 | Remembering Rallycross

For most rally gamers, DR2 was the most engaging rally title of the 2010s. Codemasters was still at their height, and years of developing rally titles and nurturing motorsports licenses culminated in a game that looked and felt completely immersed in rallying culture. It offered a wide variety of cars and classes, a substantial range of rallying locations and a long and complex career mode. But what we remember most about DR2 isn't even the traditional rallying- it's the rallycross! While Codemasters couldn't secure the World Rallying Championship license, they strangely enough did get the FIA World Rallycross license- and they took full advantage of it. It features a rich career arc starting with crosskart, and running all the way up to the high-powered, Redbull logo-encrusted machines of the WRX! We're heading back to the distant seven year ago to experience this wonderful game mode and take a look around the DR2 dailies. Will it live up to our memories? Lots of high speed and high speed crashes inside!
