The Museum of the Treasure of the Basilica StPeter or vatican treasures is of great historic and artistic interest. It keeps holy paraments and valuables offered for devotion to the Vatican Basilica. Of particular interest is a ciborium by Donatello, the "Monument to Sixtus the Fourth" by Pollaiolo, the silver cross and candelabra by A. Gentili(1582), the "Sarcophagus of Junius Bassus" (fourth century), the Cross of emperor Justin the Second (fourth century), a decorated dalmatic of the Early Middle Ages, and a metal gilded rooster (ninth century) that adorned the bell-tower of the Basilica of Constantine.
