2025 Symposium - How do I Push Back When I Feel Pushed Out? - Laura Fregeau

Laura Fregeau joined us at the 2025 International Scientific Symposium to present "How do I Push Back When I Feel Pushed Out?" Presented as a series of reflective questions, this framework seeks to help workers with dynamic functional capacity related to HSD/hEDS to organize themselves with the goal of achieving sustainable employment. Through knowing their rights, their employers responsibilities, their available resources, and building skills in advocacy, individuals with disability related to HSD/hEDS can strive for the integration of support for their health and well being at work. Laura Frégeau is an occupational therapist with a telehealth practice in the province of Québec focused on living well with chronic conditions. She is currently a doctoral student in rehabilitation sciences at McGill University, where she previously completed an applied Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. With prior experience in pediatric rehabilitation, her current practice, research and advocacy were founded in her experiential knowledge of living with chronic health conditions.
