Hello everyone, today we're reporting on our "Kai-Uwe." That's our motorhome. More on that in a moment, but first, we'd like to thank everyone involved in our channel. We – my wife Güde, our dogs Lotta and Mila, and I – decided, after buying a few motorhomes, to treat ourselves to a new Adria Matrix 670 SL. That was two years ago, and it has reliably taken us to quite a few destinations in Europe. It's a Citroen Jumper base, even if it doesn't look like it. A whim of the pandemic prompted me to swap the Citroen mask for one from a Fiat Ducato. I'm happy to answer any questions. The engine is a 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 163 hp. The standard equipment of the Adria Matrix 670 all-in is quite extensive. Listing it all would be too extensive, and is detailed in the video description. This includes, among other things, a fly screen door, a 450 cm awning, a skyroof (the window in the front roof), a fully automatic satellite system, air conditioning, TV preparation, a 140-liter Heki fresh water tank, a 100-liter waste water tank, Isofix anchor points, a large refrigerator with a separate ice compartment, ambient lighting with dimmer, a third rear sleeping berth, a Truma 6 heater, a fifth seat with a seatbelt, central locking with the living area door, a heated garage, casement windows, a 60 cm wide window in the entrance door, fog lights, cruise control, hill holder, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear knob, a double-DIN radio with navigation and reversing light, a windscreen antenna, and electric windows. Heated exterior mirrors, a gas compartment with a crash sensor, rear corner supports, a large garage with two equally sized doors, folding cab shades, and much more... We also had a trailer hitch installed, all-weather tires on aluminum rims, air suspension for the rear axle, and a roller lift. More on that later. I also installed a Fiamma Doorlock to secure the entrance door. This is quick to install and relatively secure. All vital battery functions and charge levels can be monitored via a mobile app. Our Suaoki power box is also parked here, which serves as a power reserve when we're off-road. It charges all our batteries, including our e-bikes, and at 220 volts, it outputs up to 300 watts. The toilet door separates the front section from the rear of the motorhome. The folding curtain allows you to partition off the bathroom at the front and back. We find the wardrobe doors very practical. They slide completely out of the way and don't get in the way. There's another drawer that can be loaded or unloaded from the garage. It also has a soft-close mechanism. We've retained a bit of basic camping. Toasting and coffee making, for example, are still done manually. This saves us the need for an inverter at the moment, as we don't have any major power consumers. We find the cabin, which is made entirely of fiberglass, to be practical. Minor oversights, such as a light blow from a camping chair or a slipped awning crank, often resulted in unsightly dents in our previous motorhomes. The fiberglass skin can certainly tolerate the odd mishap. The plastic skin can even withstand light to moderate hailstorms. The floor is also well protected from below by the fiberglass. Let's get back to the roller lift – we had the motorhome factory-rated to 3.8 tons. However, we had the problem of excessive rear axle load. We had to have it upgraded from 2000 kg to 2240 kg, which was quite an effort. For us, as Sardinia fans, the installation of air springs on the rear axle was very important. When driving onto the ferry, motorhomes with a long rear overhang often bottom out. With the air springs, the rear axle can be raised by about 8 cm. Finally, this is not an advertising video for Adria; it simply reflects our experiences over the past two years. We would buy the motorhome again, but there are a few points where it could be improved. For example, it's uncomfortable when you always need two hands to open the garage doors. Other manufacturers have solved this better. Otherwise, it's sufficiently large. With the exterior hatch measuring 110 - 75 cm, you can stow quite a bit. That's it, our little introduction.
