Vic Firth Artist Ji Hye Jung performs "Mountain" by Clark Hubbard. ABOUT THE PIECE: "I like to be with my people, in the hills. That's my church...the cathedral of the big mountains makes me happy and sort of rejuvenates my soul." - Jeff Evans "산 • San • Mountain" is a solo for five-octave marimba + electronic playback commissioned by Ji Hye Jung. Combining contemporary percussion aesthetics with pop, electronic, and dance music, the electronic playback creates an environment for the marimba to explore while also adding new colors to the marimba's sonic palette.
