Opening Doors_Induction

In December 2025, children from the communities of Massohane and Madjadjane, situated within the buffer zone of the Maputo National Park, had the privilege and opportunity to spend their free time learning about water conservation and marine pollution, playing basketball, cleaning up their surrounding environment, dancing Marrabenta, and sitting together in a circle to reflect on what it means to live alongside wild animals. "Induction" is the first film of Opening Doors_Campo de Cidadania do Parque de Maputo. The film captures part of the joint effort of a mixed team, comprising staff from the Maputo National Park and Still Standing, whose purpose was to create something truly distinctive for these children: a space where sport, conservation, and community education come together. For many of the participating children, this was their very first encounter with activities of this kind. It is the hope of PNAM and Still Standing that the values introduced through this process - friendship, teamwork, respect, responsibility, and the possibility of a future built in harmony with the extraordinary place they call home - have been carried with the participants and shared with their friends and families.
