More from the 20th Anniversary New York City Opera revival of Stephen Sondheim's masterpiece Sweeney Todd- starring British theater legend Elaine Paige as Mrs. Lovett and Timothy Nolen as Sweeney Todd (alternate). This is the original Hal Prince staging from the road tour. Mr. Nolen is notable for his decades-long career in opera, musicals and television, and was the first-cast Sweeney in the 1984 Houston Grand Opera/NYCO staging of this production. Mr. Nolen has appeared in dozens of productions of Sweeney Todd as the title character or Judge Turpin, a role he sung in the 2000 Lincoln Center concert production starring Patti LuPone and George Hearn.
