Autoharps: Side By Side Comparison of New Vs Vintage Oscar Schmidt
Stalking the Wild Autoharp The first 'harp is an American made OS EBHR. It is Plywood; probably mid 70's The second is a brand new Korean made OS 21C It's plywood, too. All modern OS harps sound about like this one. The "Reissue" (black harp) is a bit brighter. The others, regardless of what they appear to be on the top, all sound pretty much the same. even though they might be more expensive than the other models because of fine tuners, onboard pickups, tuners, etc. The third is an American Made Centurion. It s is made of solid woods: Spruce Top, Ash back. These were all recorded in the same take, with the same mics and settings. http://www.halweeks.com / halweeks
