Week 10 is where the full data analytics capstone comes together. After collecting, cleaning, wrangling, and exploring the Stack Overflow Developer Survey data, the final step is to turn the analysis into a clear data story for stakeholders. In this video, we cover: • Final Week 10 housekeeping and course wrap-up • The Week 10 live session recordings • The Looker Studio dataset issue and where to find the correct CSV • Why the Looker dashboard portion is still part of the graded capstone • Final capstone deliverables and expectations • Creating the final slide deck as a stakeholder-facing report • Downloading and submitting the slide deck as a PDF • Including a public GitHub repository link in the final presentation • What to include in the GitHub repository • Why a README or short executive summary is important • How Weeks 9 and 10 combine into one full capstone project • Using Python, Pandas, SQL, Matplotlib, and Looker Studio together • Choosing the right visualizations for the right analytical questions • Creating histograms, box plots, scatter plots, bubble charts, line charts, stacked charts, and bar charts • Handling complex survey data with semicolon-separated lists • Splitting and exploding multi-value columns • Visualizing compensation, job satisfaction, age, experience, technologies, and remote work patterns • Building Looker Studio dashboard pages • Using donut charts, treemaps, bubble charts, bar charts, and filters • Updating data types in Looker Studio for geographic visualizations • Exporting dashboard pages and adding them to the final slide deck • Turning charts into findings, implications, and recommendations • Final due dates, grading, audit, appeal, and grade release timeline The big idea: The capstone is not just about creating charts. It is about telling a clear data story. Your final project should explain what question you explored, what data you used, how you prepared and analyzed it, what patterns you found, and what actions or decisions your findings could support. A strong final slide deck should include: • Executive summary • Project context and business problem • Methodology • Data collection and preparation • Exploratory analysis • Static visualizations • Looker Studio dashboard screenshots • Key findings and implications • Recommendations or stakeholder takeaways • Link to your public GitHub repository Remember: findings and implications are the heart of the capstone. Do not submit a slide deck that is only screenshots. Use the visuals to support a story. Explain what each chart means, why it matters, and how it helps a stakeholder make a better decision.
