The only craftswoman in Ukraine who knows how to weave wreaths from goose feathers lives in Kolomyia. This headdress is an authentic girl's wedding attribute. The bride and bridesmaids have worn it since ancient times in two Carpathian villages - Veliki and Malyi Klyuchevy. Starting from the 70s, this custom began to be forgotten. And today, there is only one 75-year-old grandmother, Paraska Kushlyak, who knows the technology of making a wedding wreath. The craftswoman is sorry that she has no one to pass on her skills to. The young do not want to and say that it is not fashionable. However, Paraska Ivanovna does not lose hope. In the Pysanka Museum, she organized an original performance - village women staged a fragment of a wedding party, where the bride is dressed in a feather wreath. It was amazing! See for yourself.
