🏰 Jaipur Day 1 Travel Guide | Complete Pink City Itinerary | Amer Fort, Nahargarh, Jaigarh, City Palace & Hawa Mahal Welcome to our first day exploring the beautiful Pink City – Jaipur, Rajasthan! 🌸 In this vlog, we’re taking you through what we believe is the perfect Day 1 itinerary for first-time visitors to Jaipur, covering the city’s iconic forts, royal palaces, and famous landmarks. Our day started with plans to visit Amer Fort, but things took an unexpected turn! On the way, we met a local guide who introduced us to Kanak Vrindavan Garden, a beautiful Mughal-style garden located near Jal Mahal. The garden has been featured in 40+ Bollywood movies and offers peaceful surroundings with stunning views of the Aravalli Hills. We also stopped at the iconic Jal Mahal (Water Palace), one of Jaipur’s most photographed landmarks. Built in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, this architectural masterpiece appears to float on the water and is a must-see attraction in Jaipur. Like many tourists, we were taken to a government shopping center and offered visits to additional attractions that weren’t part of our plan. Instead, we decided to continue with our itinerary and make the most of our day. Since Amer Fort was extremely crowded, we hired a jeep that first took us to Nahargarh Fort, followed by Jaigarh Fort, and finally to Amer Fort. Looking back, this turned out to be one of the best decisions we made! ✨ Nahargarh Fort sits high on the Aravalli Hills and offers breathtaking panoramic views of Jaipur city. Originally built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the fort served as a defensive structure as well as a royal retreat. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning viewpoints made it one of my favorite places in Jaipur. 🏰 Jaigarh Fort, also known as the “Fort of Victory,” is famous for housing the world’s largest cannon on wheels, Jaivana Cannon. The fort showcases impressive military architecture and offers incredible views of both Amer Fort and the surrounding hills. 🕌 Before entering Amer Fort, we explored the beautiful Jagat Shiromani Temple, known for its intricate architecture and historical significance, along with the ancient Panna Meena ka Kund, a beautifully symmetrical stepwell that has become one of Jaipur’s most Instagram-worthy hidden gems. 👑 Finally, we explored the magnificent Amer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its grand courtyards, stunning Rajput architecture, artistic mirror work, and rich royal history. A guided tour made the experience even more enjoyable as we learned fascinating stories behind the fort. 📍 My personal recommendation: Don’t visit only Amer Fort! Since Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort, and Amer Fort are located close to each other, cover all three on the same day. It saves time and gives you a much better understanding of Jaipur’s royal heritage. In the evening, we headed to the beautiful City Palace, one of Jaipur’s most elegant royal residences, showcasing a wonderful blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Next, we planned to visit Jantar Mantar, the UNESCO-listed astronomical observatory, but unfortunately it had already closed for the day. We wrapped up our evening at the iconic Hawa Mahal, admired its breathtaking façade, explored the lively streets nearby, and enjoyed some delicious coffee while soaking in Jaipur’s vibrant atmosphere. 📌 Ideal Jaipur Day 1 Itinerary: • Nahargarh Fort • Jaigarh Fort • Amer Fort • Jagat Shiromani Temple • Panna Meena ka Kund • City Palace • Jantar Mantar (if time permits) • Hawa Mahal & local market If you’re planning your first trip to Jaipur, this itinerary will help you cover the city’s major attractions comfortably in a single day.
