He was quickly taken back to Labuga / Livingston, Izabal in Guatemala where he grew up. Socie had an amazing talent of not only singing but also arranging his own music which is a wining situation. He started recording music in audio cassettes using tracks created in his keyboard. Before moving to New York, he had already established himself as a very popular act in his hometown. He had already recorded several songs and played the main character in the made-for-television movie "Uraga", a Guatemalan production.
