She finds out that it's a ship and she sees a young boy on the (ladder-thingy). Immediately, she falls for him and changes into a human to be with him. She learns that his father had abandoned him when he was a child and had to grow up fatherless and alone. With that in mind, she helps him overcome his rash attitude on life and helps him to love again. After a few months, Jim becomes more confident and talks more openly to Ariel which only made her happier. One day, Jim meets a princess named Odette who he falls for at first sight and starts to see her more often, much to Ariel's annoyance. Finally, he tells Ariel about it and how he thinks Odette may be the girl for him. Heartbroken, Ariel tells him he should do what he wants and watches forlornly as Jim spends more time with Odette. The final blow was struck when Jim tells Ariel that he will be leaving the country with Odette. Ariel advises against it, saying that they have only known each other for a few days but the lovestruck Jim snaps at her and calls her selfish. Ariel leaves heartbroken as Jim determinedly boards the ship with Odette. Finally, Ariel watches on as the ship sails away and sits down and cries. Epilogue Jim is playing with Morph and falls into a barrel. He hears Odette laugh and spies through the hole and sees Derek and Odette together. They kiss and Derek announces their engagement. Jim goes into shock as the crowd cheer for the two. Stuff: Part one of my "Jariel" series! Well my first ever Non/Disney Crossover! And it's with my favourite crossover couple Jim and Ariel!
