Boating on Weeki Wachee River | Gheenoe LT25

We took our Gheenoe up the Weeki Wachee River for the first time on the afternoon of the 4th of July. We put the boat in at the Bayport Boat Ramp. This was a nice boat ramp with 3 slips. It was about a 2 mile trip down the river, through houses along the river, before we arrived at Roger's Park. We expected Roger's Park to be a busy area, and it definitely was. We continued up the river, past the oncoming kayakers, paddle boarders and other boats. After about a half mile, it cleared out and we pretty much had the river to ourselves.
