Papua New Guinea 46th Independence Celebrations 16th Sept 2021

Tasion Police Barracks Youths Celebrating the Papua New Guinea's 46th Independence anniversary. Involving young Youths and kids in traditional dancing and promoting PNG's local music and it's local style of music rythm come to life. This local traditional dancing video mainly involves girls partaking in the celebration with their traditional dancing attires from New Ireland and East New Britain Province of Papua New Guinea. With a leaf song from a legendary tolai music band from Rabaul known as the SHUTDOWN BAND of RABAUL formed in the 1980's by lead singer Kanai Pineri. We would like to dedicate this celebration of happiness to the founding fathers of this Nation . A special one to the Late Grand Chief Sir Michael T Somare which the country celebrates without him for first time in 46 years.. Thank you Papa.
