Flow to Kurmasana / Tortoise Pose - 42 Min, Level 2
A creative and fun sequence leading to the peak pose of a deep forward fold in Kurmasana/Tortoise Pose. Lots of hip openers & pouncing in/out of lizard poses and jumping forward to malasana squat. Options to play with side plank transition to lizard pose. This is an introspective practice, looking inwards at the duality of light and dark within ourselves. When we acknowledge and see our shadow self for what it is without spiritual bypassing (only looking at the good/favorable aspects of ourselves) we are able to heal, grow and are no longer driven unconsciously by our shadow. Question for reflection: In what ways are you being shown your shadow? In what ways are you being shown your light?
