Before that, they must withstand a horde of giants. -------------------------------------------------- Who doesn't love Age of Empires? And who doesn't love mythology? Well, actually, lots of people. But for those who adore RTS games and stories of gods descending from Olympus to wreak havoc on Earth, then Age of Mythology, released in 2002, was the ultimate. Obviously, you can imagine that an RTS that made such an impact upon its release couldn't just gather dust. After receiving a Definitive Edition a few years ago, we now have the definitively definitive version: AoM Retold. One might criticize the fact that we're being offered (not exactly cheaply) remakes of remakes of games (or movies, because that works too) released 20 years ago. But here's the thing: the RTS genre has been a bit of a wasteland since the mid-2010s. So why not indulge ourselves and (re)try this... legendary title?
