The Aeta people of the Philippines are considered one of the oldest indigenous tribes in the world—and carry the highest percentage of Denisovan DNA globally. How did this ancient heritage come to the Philippines? How do these people live today? I went there with my family. We climbed Mount Pinatubo, visited the Aeta village, talked with the people, and brought them some supplies and medicine. A spontaneous project that still resonates with me today.
