Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts - Citadels, How Do They (not?) Work? - DIP 1.3.4

#ultimateadmiral #dreadnoughts The proud ship Target Ship is back and ready to get shot at by 16" AP shells that shouldn't penetrate, but still do. Test results: -The citadel/main belt hitbox is fixed, it will always cover a certain area of the ship, up to the foremost two bulkheads and sternmost two bulkheads, regardless of turret placement. -Main gun turret placement controls how much of this hitbox you actually cover with main belt/citadel armor. -Citadel armor layers are not cummulative, ie. the armor thickness is not added together. The shell performs a new penetration check for each layer, but with a modifier. -In Vanilla the modified strenght of each citadel layer is supposedly x2, x4, x10 for the first, second, and third layers according to in-game tooltips. In DIP 1.3.4 it's allegedly x2.2, x3, x4 for the first, second, and third layers according to patch notes. -The citadel armor layers seem to provide less protection than they should.
