5 Huntsville Communities That Have EVERYTHING (Literally)

Village of Providence, Clift Farm, Town Madison: 5 Mixed-Use Communities for Huntsville Homebuyers Welcome back to another episode of the Boomtown podcast. I'm your host Cameron Walker, the broker and owner of Cameron Walker Realty. Today we're going to talk about five of the mixed-use developments you'll see in and around Huntsville and Madison. What we’re talking about when we discuss mixed-use communities are developments with housing, businesses, and entertainment all in one. They’re sort of like mini cities unto themselves in Madison County. Many of our people here come from different parts of the country, and they have the expectation or experience of these things—walkable areas with green spaces and shops and being able to get out and meet your neighbors. Historically, moving into these areas has had a huge impact on home values, often outpacing the rest of the market. We cover five of the most important mixed-use developments impacting home values and quality of life for those moving to the area: Village of Providence: The OG development, known for its traditional style, red brick sidewalks, apartments, condos, and single-family homes. It has a very walkable, truly community vibe. Village of Oakland Springs: The sister community to Providence, this beautiful space is currently growing in fits and spurts, but it’s actively happening due to massive new construction nearby (2,000 proposed homes in a three-mile radius) and convenient access to County Line Road. Clift Farm: This development was like a motor. It went from pasture to a massive shopping center and housing development very quickly. It offers a more urban-focused group of people walkability into shops, restaurants, and even Costco right off Highway 72. Town Madison: Located off Madison Boulevard and 565, Town Madison offers easy access to Redstone Arsenal and the airport. It has a vibrant, active community feel due to the presence of Toyota Field (Trash Pandas baseball) and multiple off-season events. Hayes Farm: This community in South Huntsville took off incredibly quickly, driven by the proximity of the brand-new Grissom School and visibility from the Parkway, drawing support from the surrounding area. We discuss how these developments are structured, why some grew faster than others, and the different price points and housing styles (townhomes, smaller cottages, larger single-family homes) available within each.
