CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF TABITHA KANINI MUTISYA

BIRTH The late Tabitha Kanini Mutisya was born in the year 1942 at Muthetheni, Machakos county. She was the daughter of the late Kyutha Kitathe and late Mwethya Kyutha. She was sister to late Francis Musau and Rose Nduku. She was aunt to Mwalusa, Lucia, James, Mulinge, Maitha, George, Sophia, Wayua, Mukulu, Sarah, Mueni, Eva, Allan, Jimmy (UK), Joseph Morris and others. WORK The late Tabitha was a business lady then she retired from business and ventured in farming till her demise. MARRIAGE The late Tabitha met and married Jonathan Mutisya Katiti in the year 1961. They were blessed with 8 children namely; Joshua Musyimi, Joseph Musyoka, Juliana Mukenyi, Jackline Ngina, John Muia, late Domitila Mbatha, Pauline Mutinda and Maxwell Mwonga. She was co-wife to late Flora Kasiva and step mother to John Mwanzia, Pauline Mutindi, late Elizabeth Mbula, Geoffrey Nzomo, Mwangangi, Nicholas Kilonzo, Patrick Katiti, Kyalo, Musyoki and others. She was grandmother to Dominic Musyimi, Catherine Kanini, Onesmus Mutinda, Jamlick Kasia, Mary Mumbua, Romeo Muthee, Vincent Mutua, Grace Ndunge and others. She was great grandmother to Neema, Stacy, Mitchell, Precious, Mwendwa, Roy, Aidan, Andrie, Joy and others. She was daughter in-law to late Joseph Katiti and late Elizabeth Mukenyi. She was sister in-law to Phyllis Ndululu, late William Wambua, late Monica Syokau, late David Katiti, Martha Nzioka, late Grace Katiti, late Alice Munee, Morris Kisambu, Agnes Ndavi, Jimmy Katiti, late Winfred Ndunge, late Lukas Waita, Sarah David, Lucy Katiti, Joyce Morris and Susan Waita. She was mother in-law to Christine Mwikali, Paulina Ndinda, Jane Mbeki, Catherine Mwikali, late Shadrack Nzyuko, late Fidelis Kasia, late Erastus Gaci and George Kioko. CHRISTIAN LIFE The late Tabitha was a member of A.I.C Kyasila, she then transferred to A.I.C Kiimani. She later donated land to Voice of God Church and she became a member of the same till her demise. ILLNESS/DEMISE The late Tabitha lived a good health life most of her life until the year 2016 when she started feeling unwell. She sought treatment at different hospitals like; Machakos Level 5 Hospital, Shalom Community Hospital and Hope Medical Clinic Mutituni. On February 2026 she was admitted at Machakos Level 5 Hospital and she was discharged and started her home based care. She was later admitted at Shalom Community Hospital in April this year. On 6/5/2026 her heath deteriorated and she succumbed to illness at around 5.00am. She died at the age of 84 years. May her soul rest in eternal peace. Amen.
