CACOR Live | Janet Janzen | Responding to Energy Inequity: Community Solar in the U.S and in Canada
Presented by Janet Janzen, this session examines community solar as an emerging policy and market mechanism for addressing energy inequity. Focusing on comparative developments in the United States and Canada, the presentation will analyze the regulatory, economic, and social conditions that have enabled the growth of community solar in the U.S., while also identifying the structural and policy barriers that have constrained adoption in Canada. Particular attention will be given to questions of energy access, affordability, and equity, as well as to the policy lessons that may inform a more inclusive clean energy transition in the Canadian context.
