2003 Grand Marquis Radiator Cooling Fan Assembly Replacement #crownvic #nonamenationals

For the DIY in us who want to save money in times of deep economic collapse, I show how I replace the Radiator Cooling Fan Assembly, in as close to a step-by-step process. The car is 2003 Grand Marquis with a 4.6-liter V-8 and automatic transmission. It has an electric cooling fan and not the type with a mechanic fan clutch assembly. I found this model to be a bit bulkier than other vehicles I have replaced these on; however, it is as easy as it could be and with a few standard tools you would have from the average tool box of a person who works on their own cars. The process should be the exact same on the Ford Crown Victoria of this vintage. Just make sure to check all of the removable parts that you see on your old unit are on the new unit; such as the lower radiator hose support, the speed nuts on top of the fan shroud where your antifreeze and power steering tanks mount and the one I found missing from my new unit, the transmission cooling line hold down bracket. I simply pulled it from my old one and placed onto the new one, as the new one did have the correct place and hole for it to be mounted. Thank you for watching!
