Of Wizards and Warriors - Roland Barrett
A captivating overture that effectively transports the listener back to Medieval times! The slow and stately opening features a trumpet soloist and quickly builds into a bold and dramatic allegro section. A nice use of repetition with simple key and meter changes provides a great teaching opportunity here. An outstanding concert and contest selection for younger bands!
