Nithi Suthammarak, President of the Ban Sankong Community Learning Center, continues and develops the hand-embroidered craft of the Ban Sankong villagers in Chiang Rai Province. Since ancient times, the villagers of Ban Sankong have been deeply connected to hand embroidery, embroidering hill tribe patterns and local designs. Nithi Suthammarak has preserved and developed this hand-embroidered craft by incorporating patterns from the community's way of life, such as rice grains, rice grains, leaves, flowers, streams, spiral patterns, landscapes, and natural patterns found in the local area. The highlight of Ban Sankong embroidery is the imaginative designs of the embroiderers, who want to convey a story on the fabric. Each piece of fabric is unique in the world. The unique patterns exude beauty, embodying the unique local art of the Ban Sankong community.
