2025 Porsche 911 Carrera 992.2 Facelift - Rapid Review

Welcome to RBR’s New Video Series: Rapid Reviews! A shorter and sharper take on your favourite cars! And what better car to start with than a New #Porsche911. The Base #911 Carrera is a car that’s always underestimated. Especially sitting at a shade under 100k, it sounds cheap and your ego tempts you to either spec up, or look above. But it’s a car, that historically, I’ve always found to be the best road car under the GT3. And now the 992 has its "point 2" update: and not much has changed for the base car. Still the 3.0 flat six, but with turbos from the previous GTS. It mights slightly more power at 394PS and the same torque, and a quick sprint to 60 with sports Chrono. Brakes, Steering, chassis and suspension are unchanged vs Point 1. And of course this is RWD, and has the 8 speed PDK, now your only option. If you want a manual, you’ll have to get the Carrera T which is round 10K more, with a revised 6 speed manual, lightweight glass and reduced insulation, mechanical diff with shorter ratio, and lowered ride height with pasm suspension. All coming in under 1500 KG, with a cab as an option now too! So not much changed, no bad thing. The GTS is a different kettle of fish: with huge changes in the t hybrid. The removal of the analog driver tachometer, and twisting key starter button is a case that the modern auto maker must study seriously.
