Calvino dentro il labirinto. Forme e idee per affrontare la sfida del reale

Despite its apparent simplicity, Calvino's work is undoubtedly one of the richest and most complex of twentieth-century Italian literature. It is torn between a humanistic and Enlightenment legacy, which seeks to represent and understand its time through writing, and an already postmodern vertigo, which considers the hermeneutic challenge posed by reality lost from the outset and abandons itself to a game of combinatorics with no escape. By analyzing several literary texts, his correspondence, and the unfinished intellectual autobiography, Le lezioni americane, this lecture aims to highlight some of Calvino's salient aspects, not only by shedding light on certain aspects of his literary and editorial work, but also by demonstrating the relevance of his thought today.
