New Face of China: Guangdong Modern Dance Company 中国之新 广东现代舞团

Modern dance is a genre of dance emerging in the West in the early 1900s. It advocates casting off the constraints of the over-rigid traditional dance and freely expressing the true feelings of people through the dance movement in accordance with the natural motion principle. The video takes the specific examples of Guangdong Modern Dance Company in the 20 years as the main clue to reveal the efforts of the modern dancers to pursue a higher artistic state and the efforts of the Chinese government and Guangdong Modern Dance Company to develop and promote the modern art, as well as that high art is not neglected any more but accepted by more and more ordinary people in their daily life.
