【終点まで行ってみたい】SLパレオエクスプレスで三峰口へ　山岳信仰の聖地・三峰神社を訪ねる

In mid-April 2026, I stayed in Kagohara for about two weeks for work. Using the weekend, I took a trip on the Chichibu Railway to Mitsumineguchi Station, the end of the line. I rode the SL Paleo Express along the Arakawa River and visited the turntable at the final station. After that, I took a local bus deep into the mountains of Chichibu to visit Mitsumine Shrine, a historic shrine known as a sacred place of mountain worship. For the night, I stayed at a guesthouse near Mitsumineguchi. I spent the evening talking about life and listening to the stories of fellow travelers I met there. The next morning began quietly at Mitsumineguchi Station. I headed toward central Chichibu and visited Hitsujiyama Park, famous for its beautiful moss phlox fields, and Imamiya Shrine, said to be one of the oldest shrines in Chichibu. A steam locomotive, historic shrines, beautiful mountains, and peaceful old streets.
