Over the years, I’ve learned this lifestyle is about much more than beautiful campsites and freedom. It’s adapting constantly, solving problems in real time, dealing with rough weather, breakdowns, uncertainty, and learning how to build a life outside the norm. This channel follows realistic full-time travel, free camping, off-grid living, road trips, and so many outdoor adventures! After 5 years of living on the road, I thought I remembered exactly what solo road life felt like… but this trip reminded me pretty quickly that doing everything alone hits differently when you’ve gotten used to having someone beside you. ******************************************************* ✨About This Video✨ There are some moments on the road that remind you just how unpredictable this lifestyle can be. What started as another peaceful stay at a beautiful free campsite in Colorado quickly turned into a week full of unexpected conversations, small-town errands, health challenges, quiet reflection, and a life update I never expected to share. While staying at this dispersed campsite near Denver, something unusual kept happening. Every single day, either a ranger or a sheriff would stop by to check on campers. At first I thought it was a coincidence, but after talking with them I learned there has been some concerning activity reported at several free camping areas throughout the region. Because of that, local law enforcement and park officials have increased patrols to help keep campers safe. After a few days at camp, it was time to lock everything up and make a town run. Living full time in a tiny camper means balancing adventure with everyday responsibilities, and that meant heading into town for groceries, a stop at the post office, and of course some much-needed town food. Unfortunately, the day took an unexpected turn when I experienced a migraine aura while running errands. If you've ever dealt with migraine symptoms, you know how frustrating they can be. One minute everything feels normal and the next you're trying to slow down, regroup, and wait for things to pass. Thankfully I was able to take it easy, finish what needed to be done, and eventually make my way back to camp. The next morning started with fresh coffee and a slow pace. Rather than rushing into another project or destination, Pike and I headed down to the river to spend the day enjoying the water, the scenery, and a chance to simply breathe. Sometimes the best moments on the road aren't the big adventures. They're the quiet moments where you can reflect, recharge, and appreciate where you are. Over the last several months, Larry and I have been separated. During that time we attended marriage counseling and spent a significant amount of time trying to work through our challenges. I had hoped we would find a path forward together, but despite our efforts we have not made meaningful progress. As of today, Larry and I are no longer together. I know many of you have noticed changes and have had questions. While I don't plan to share every detail, I did feel it was important to acknowledge where things stand today. Out of respect for both of us, I want to keep the focus on moving forward rather than revisiting the past. Life doesn't always go the way we expect, but the road keeps moving forward. Right now, my focus is on healing, growth, new adventures, and continuing to share this lifestyle with all of you. There are still plenty of mountains to explore, campsites to discover, rivers to sit beside, and stories to tell. Thank you for watching, and thank you for being part of this journey.
