Crystallographic Fragment Screening In Drug Discovery - Alisa Powell (Diamond Light Source, UK)

Crystallographic Fragment Screening in Drug Discovery: Efficiency and Impact Ailsa Powell Diamond Light Source, UK The XChem fragment screening facility at Diamond Light Source has been operational for a decade, providing a high-throughput platform for crystallographic fragment screening. Integrated with the automated i04-1 beamline, XChem enables simultaneous academic, industrial, and in-house projects, delivering rapid diffraction data collection and analysis. Over the years, industrial engagement with XChem has grown significantly, shaping the evolution of workflows to maximize efficiency and impact. This talk will explore how the platform has adapted to meet the needs of pharmaceutical partners, facilitating the effective use of structural information in the earliest stages of drug discovery.
