Visiting Leonard Cohen's Montreal House & Grave
OBSCURIST TOURIST 066 - Leonard Norman Cohen was born in Westmount, Quebec on September 21st, 1934. He was a Lithuanian-Canadian singer-songwriter, poet, and novelist - an icon who was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Though Cohen pursued a career as a poet and novelist during the 1950s and early-60s, he didn't actually begin a music career until 1967 at the ripe age of 33. If you don't know Cohen, there's no doubt you've heard his most famous song, "Hallelujah" covered by myriad artists including KD Lang and Jeff Buckley. Come with me as I take a stroll around Montreal to visit some sights associated with Leonard Cohen. Music by Obscurist Tourist/C.
