Origins Of The Madhhab | The Four Schools Of Islamic Jurisprudence

The four schools of jurisprudence in Islam, also known as the madhabs, are Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali. These schools of thought emerged in the early Islamic period and are based on the teachings and interpretations of Islamic law by their respective founders. Each school has its own set of principles and methodologies for interpreting Islamic law, and while there are similarities between them, there are also some differences. The Hanafi school, founded by Abu Hanifa, emphasizes the use of reason and personal interpretation in legal rulings. The Maliki school, founded by Malik ibn Anas, is known for its reliance on the practice and customs of the people of Medina.
