Isle of Wight in 1953, 1950s, Around the island IOW, F1122

Some charming 16mm colour footage from 1953 showing a holiday trip around the island, and many of the holiday hotspots including: Lymington Ferry Shanklin and the Pier Lake Sandown Godshill Cowes (Saunders Roe) Ryde...and other places I note they had good weather to start with, but it then turned very stormy towards the end. This is scanned and edited from the original footage which was about 24mins long. This is Kodachrome film...not AI colourised black and white film, but the (fairly common) blue fade was adjusted for at capture. Unfortunately I have no idea who the film maker was.
