Arizona 4th of July Celebrations: Parades, rodeos, and tubing | Video Vault | FOX 10 Phoenix

Arizona residents celebrated the fourth of July across multiple cities, participating in traditional festivities including parades, river rafting, and park gatherings. Crowds gathered along the Colorado River for an annual tubing race, while communities in Prescott celebrated Frontier Days with a major parade and rodeo featuring more than 600 cowboys. Additional celebrations occurred at Encanto Park in Phoenix and through neighborhood events like the Carroll Avenue parade, where children decorated tricycles and wagons to celebrate the nation's birthday. In Sun City, a unique second annual ring that bell ceremony took place at a local celebration where a representative from each of the 50 states rang the Liberty Bell simultaneously. The event also featured the release of 1,000 red, white, and blue balloons containing sender cards, alongside a keynote address from a general who spoke about national challenges and foreign military threats. Meanwhile, senior citizens at the Western Palm mobile home community kicked off their day with a decorated parade on wheels involving 150 residents riding two and three-wheel cycles. Local parks hosted multiple family activities, including a baby race, a mr. macho contest, and a bathing beauty pageant at Pioneer Park in Mesa, with additional gatherings taking place at the Laugh House in downtown Phoenix. Amidst the celebrations, officials issued warnings regarding the strict safety laws and legal penalties surrounding illegal fireworks within the state. Donna McBroom, an emergency room nurse, warned that sparklers can heat up to 1,800 degrees and cause third-degree burns, reminding the public that possessing unauthorized fireworks can result in six months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.
