Pico Duarte, to enjoy or to suffer. I've heard people say they'll never come back here. The tough climbs on the route to Pico Duarte can be a sacrifice, a penance, but also, depending on how you prepare, it can be a predictable, natural process, as enjoyable as reaching the goal. This is my experience; come experience it with me! Life at the Compartición camp taught us a lot about humility and adaptation, but above all, it taught us to appreciate that, after all, our lives aren't as limited as we might believe and that money, when it comes down to it, doesn't compensate for the richness of our human qualities.
