Jay is an emergency physician with a special interest in geriatrics. He previously led the national multi-disciplinary group in the UK that produced the Inter-Collegiate national standards for the emergency care of older people - known as the “Silver Book” and a multi-national, multi-disciplinary group the produced the “Standard Set for Older Person” for the International Consortium for Health Outcome Measurement. He is a Quality Improvement Fellow with the Health Foundation, and member of the College of Emergency Medicine's Clinical Effectiveness Committee.
