They must because they are highly vulnerable to predators. The 1st 6 months they are at their greatest risk from dying. After that, they can outrun anything that would kill them. Here, Leonard, Love and Life show what cub-hood is all about. Play, eat and RUN. Running is the primary survival trait of Cheetahs so much of their play involves it. Other big and lessor cats don't run as much as a cheetah when cubs. They must develop their skills and muscles to prepare themselves as the fastest land animal on earth.
