Princess Nokia: "Everything Is Based On Intention"

Subscribe to our channel:    / @snobette   Princess Nokia in part two of her Snobette interview explains why the safer neighborhoods that come with gentrification haven't benefited the people of color who live there. Nokia also goes into her musical roots, listing a wide range of influences from hardcore, to Mexican ska, '80s goth and punk, explaining her style as a teen was very Gothic, a look she has put behind her because of a change in spiritual beliefs. She goes on to acknowledging while her upbringing gave her the skills of a hustler, she says intent is everything and "art is the playing field between angels and demons." She finishes by discussing her first foray into the music world and the birth of Princess Nokia in 2013.
