This caught me off guard: Part one of our Pond Renovation

My neighbour surprised me by gifting goldfish to our unused garden pond — and it kicked off a MASSIVE pond makeover project we never planned for. First it was the decking, then we discovered a mystery lily plant growing wild in the pond. Next came the steep learning curve of pond pumps and filters, and we're still figuring out what to do with the rocky area by the waterfall. This has snowballed into a huge garden pond renovation, but with help from neighbours and new friends along the way, it's finally coming together... and we might even be adding Koi fish soon!
