They would always get angry with you when you would come back home with birds or mice that you caught, or when you would knock something down while climbing. You aren’t sure why they adopted you in the first place, they were always so unhappy with you, always shouting and talking about how they wished they could just get rid of you. At times, they would even hit you, saying that you needed to be “Disciplined”. It seemed like they mostly kept you around as something to vent their frustrations on. One morning you woke up to them grabbing you out of bed and carrying you out to the car. They drove you miles from the city you had called home all your life and dumped you on the side of a dirt road. You’ve been wandering down the road since, but it’s getting dark and you are starving. You notice a ranch up ahead, and decide it’s worth the risk to try to sneak in and get something to eat.
