How do the wild animals of the Altai Mountains survive in such a harsh land? Step into the extreme world dominated by snow leopards, saigas, and golden eagles. The Altai Mountains, stretching deep into Central Asia, are a mountainous region where Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, and China meet. Multiple worlds overlap: grasslands, semi-deserts, taiga forests, ice-covered mountains, and the sky. On cliffs exceeding 3000 meters in altitude, snow leopards lie silently in wait, hunting Siberian ibex. Below in the taiga, wolverines weighing around 15 kg scurry across the snow, surviving in the same forests as brown bears and lynx. Further down the grasslands, saigas with their distinctive noses, wild Bactrian camels roaming the snow, and Przewalski's horses, once extinct from the wild, cling to life. And in the sky, golden eagles, having lived alongside Kazakh hunters, reside. Even higher up, bearded vultures soar, crushing and eating bones. The Altai Mountains are not a single land. Different rules exist at each altitude, and each level has its own dominant species. However, no single animal can rule this entire mountain range.
