Whether it's the fantastic beaches of North Bay and South Bay or the amusement arcades, the fairground rides and speedboat rides or the pirate ship, or simply a walk along the seafront or down to the sea. We take a walk along the beautiful coastline of Scarborough South Bay from the Spa and cliff tramways to The Scarborough Grand Hotel, the Rotunda Museum, Coney Island, Scarborough Beach and along to The Harbour, Luna Park Amusement Park and along the harbour to Scarborough Lighthouse. I've been coming to this beautiful North Yorkshire holiday resort for years and it's always a pleasure to enjoy a walk along the seafront, watching the waves of the sea crash against the sea wall or against the sandy beach. In this Scarborough tour we visit all the landmarks from the Clock Tower near Scarborough Spa Theatre, to the Spa Bridge and Grand Hotel. Next door we find one of the most popular tourist attractions here the Central Tramway Funicular Cliff Lift which takes you up the cliff from seafront to Grand Hotel. From there we pass the huge Olympia Leisure Amusement Arcade, the big wheel opposite South bay Beach, and past Terror Tower to The Lord Nelson Pub on Foreshore Road. Opposite there is the RNLI Lifeboat house and Scarborough Beach, and the stalls selling fresh fish and seafood like cockles, mussles and whelks. We then cross over for a look inside Henry Marshalls Amusement Arcade and then head to The Harbour Bar (one of the most popular places to eat in Scarborough at the junction with Sandside) From Harbour Bar we pass Winking Willies Fish and Chips restaurant, The Newcastle Packet pub, and the Princess Cafe. Lots of holidaymakers enjoying their seaside holiday in this one, with people on day trips or staying in Scarborough in the many Scarborough hotels or guesthouses. Next up we pass the King Richard III restaurant and bar, and the humorously named Seabay shop selling buckets and spades for those days on the beach and lots more. We continue along Sandside to Luna Park funfair with it's rides and games for the kids to enjoy on their holiday at the seaside here in Scarborough England. Now we are in the shadow of Scarborough Castle which looks down from above high over both Scarborough South Bay and North Bay and is worth a visit on it's own. We don't have time for that though as we explore the harbour next with all the boats, yachts and ships docked here. Amongst them is the Regal Lady Dunkirk Experience boat that served during the war to fetch the troops home. Next up we cross the little foot bridge to Scarborough Lighthouse and the Diving Belle statue stood proudly looking out to sea. From here we see the boat rides coming in after an exciting ride out at sea, coming back into the harbour ready for it's riders to head for an ice-cream or something to eat in one of the places to eat on Scarborough seafront. People on the beach enjoying their holiday can be seen from the lighthouse, and you just know how much fun they are having enjoying their day out on the beach and along the seafront and of course also in the amusement arcades.
