Marionette was inspired by a moment when I felt alienated and judged harshly by people who don't know me. I couldn't shake the feeling so I sat down and wrote the chorus to this song. Looking back I realize this isn't the first time I have felt harsh critics in life gnashing their teeth at me, and we all go through it, but I think the most important thing is how we react. God has called me to love those who persecute me. He has reminded me with love and grace, who I am. I am sure I will judge someone today and need to be reminded to look at others in love instead of hate.
