Remove the Stars First and then Stack the Comet in Siril
There's a newer version of this video here that no longer requires the use of Python: • Siril 1.2 Comet Stacking Tutorial If you're interested in astrophotography, you know how tricky it can be to create stunning images of comets without any star trail artifacts. Luckily, with Siril's advanced image stacking features and the help of their custom Python script, it's possible to achieve amazing results without any star trail artifacts left in the background of your comet stack. I'll guide you through using the Python script to first remove the stars from all of your lights frames before we create the stacked comet image. This eliminates the star trail artifacts that might have otherwise appeared in the stacking process using my original stacking workflow. This leaves you with a nice, clean background! 🖊️ Subscribe to my Channel ➔ https://www.youtube.com/@DeepSpaceAst...
