Jumping Astro Ride Breaks Down Twice at Currys Portrush! (Epic Fail) March 2025

While waiting at the door of Currys Portrush, Joseph noticed the Jumping Astro ride had stopped at the top with people still on it. Staff manually lowered the ride and evacuated everyone safely before doing some checks and a test run. Despite seeming fine afterward, the ride was closed for further investigation. Earlier in the day, when Joseph, Frances, and their dad were on it, they experienced some seatbelt issues, and the ride seemed to struggle with lift power. Joseph spoke to a staff member who said this was the first time it had broken down like that. As we walked back along the street later, Joseph spotted the ride stuck at the top again, needing another manual rescue. Definitely an epic fail for the Jumping Astro that day!
